StillAmp’d specializes in handcrafted boutique vacuum tube guitar amplifiers constructed from authentic vintage wooden tube radios from the 1930’s and 1940’s. The builds focus on tone, quality components, and beautiful artful design. Sometimes clean, sometimes gritty, each amplifier is a one of a kind tone monster with unique circuit and layout. The builds are crafted in vintage radio cabinets maintaining original patina and often using the original chassis and hardware. Vintage guitar speakers are used whenever possible, always with an option to connect to an external speaker cabinet for greater volume and depth. Tube circuit designs are based on period correct tweed circuits from classic amplifier manufacturers. All circuits are hand wired point to point using high end components in layouts that provide clean dress for low noise, tone and performance. StillAmp’d is a one man shop run by Steve Still who plays and improves guitars, bass guitars and vintage instruments. Building antique radio guitar amplifiers and restoration and service of antique tube radios and vintage tube guitar amplifiers. Currently accepting commissions to build your unique vintage guitar amplifier.
