Philco 39-71 (first portable by Philco)

This radio was destined for a guitar amp. It was disassembled and blueprinted for a 6" guitar speaker and a Champ circuit components were purchased. It sat in the "to be worked" project pile for s couple of years. I then decided to assemble as a radio and as it turned out that without replacing any components the radio brought in great stations. It is an all original strong reception AM radio powered by batteries.
